Biomass Briquetting Machine manufacturers, supplier, exporters company.
Lehra Fuel-Tech (P) Ltd. is a reputed
Indian company and has been engaged in manufacturing and marketing of
Biomass Briquetting & Municipal Solid Waste Processing Plant & Machinery
since 20 years. More than 200 nos. of Briquetting machines have been
supplied by the company in India and Overseas. Our company is approved
list of Suppliers in IREDA Ltd. (A Govt. of India's leading Financial
Institution).
Biomass Briquetting :Every year millions of tons of agricultural wastes
are generated which are either destroyed or burnt inefficiently in loose
form causing air pollution. Handling and transportation of these
materials is difficult due to low bulk density. These wastes can provide
a renewable source of energy by converting into high density - fuel
briquettes without addition of any binder.
Concept
The process of " BRIQUETTING " is the physical transformation of the
loose raw material into high density fuel briquettes through a compactly
compressed unit. The form change results in a much higher specific
density of the material which increases its combustion efficiency as
compressed to the loose material. Energy is the key factor in economic
development of the country. By the turn of the century our requirement
of energy will increase rapidly. it is expected that approximately 450
million tons of coal, 80 million tons of crude oil and 150 tons of fire
wood will be required at that time to meet the domestic demand. It is
unlikely that we can meet the requirement of fire wood or coal if we
have to stop the already deteriorating ecology. Results of fossil fuels
are also limited, which has resulted in the universal recognition of the
need to tap energy from non-conventional sources. The Agricultural and
Forest Wastes and Residue can be converted into fuel briquettes i.e. "
BIO COAL " and is fairly a good substitute for coal, lignite, firewood,
crude oil .This recycled fuel
is
beneficial for the environment as it conserves natural resources. What
many people do not know is that recycling also prevents global warming
which has a direct adverse impact on global climate.
Briquettes-the cheapest
fuel
Briquettes produced from briquetting of
biomass are fairly good substitute for coal, lignite, firewood and offer
numerous advantages:-
-
Briquettes are cheaper than COAL, OIL
or LIGNITE once used cannot be replaced.
-
There is no sulfur in briquettes.
-
Biomass briquettes have a higher
practical thermal value and much lower ash content (2-10% as compared
to 20-40 % in coal).
-
There is no fly ash when burning
briquettes.
-
Briquettes have a consistent quality,
have high burning efficiency, are ideally sized for complete
combustion.
-
Combustion is more uniform compared to
coal and boiler response to changes in steam requirements is faster
due to higher quantity of volatile matter in briquettes.
-
Unlike coal, lignite or oil, briquettes
are produced from renewable source of energy, biomass.
-
Briquettes have high specific density
(1200 kg/m3) compared to 60 to 180 kg/m3 of loose biomass.
-
Loading/unloading and transportation
costs are much less and storage requirement is drastically reduced.
-
Briquettes are clean to handle and can
be packed in bags for ease of handling and storage.
-
Briquettes are usually produced near
the consumption centers and supplies do not depend on erratic
transport from long distances.
What can be briquetted
Almost any biomass can be briquetted. Briquetting plants set so far in
India are using Saw Dust, Bamboo dust, Bagasse, Cotton Stalk, Coffee
husk, Groundnut Shell, Mustard Husk/Stalk, Pine Needles, Rice Husk, Sugar
Mill Waste, Jute waste, Coir pith and other wastes & residues like
Castor Shell, Red Gram Stalk, Tobacco stem, Tea Waste, Sander Dust, Tree
Bark, Wild Grasses & Shrubs and Sander dust etc. can be also be
briquetted individually or in combination WITHOUT USING ANY BINDER.
Where to Sale
The demand for briquettes is created whenever a new briquetting plant is
setup in any new area and prospective users come to know about
briquettes and their availability. Common users are brick kilns and
mills and factories having boilers or air heating requirements.
